The Village
A room for people doing this work — so the next person at the kitchen table is a little less alone.
It started as a joke at the back of a book. It takes a village to write one, the saying goes — and I would not know, because I wrote mine mostly alone, at a kitchen table, at hours no village keeps. So I built the literal version. This is it.
What it is
The Village is a community for people working with the AI we actually have — directing it, verifying it, building small useful things with it, inside real jobs with real consequences. It is not a hype channel and it is not a place anyone is selling you anything. It is a room for comparing notes.
What happens here
- Share the small operator moves that actually worked this week.
- Ask the question you didn't want to ask your IT department.
- Watch other people figure out the same things you are figuring out.
- Be a little less alone in the meantime.
Who it's for
Knowledge workers who have decided to move rather than wait. Non-engineers welcome — especially non-engineers.
Before you join
If you would rather start on your own, there is a private version of this. The Operator Map asks about the work you actually do — the spreadsheet, the report, the thing you rebuild every month — and gives you one recipe for the piece worth automating first. No account, no signup, nothing to install. About ten minutes.
